We are situated on the banks of the Daw End branch of the Essington & Great Wyrley canal.

This map shows the local area 150 years ago, as you can see the canal was
still there .but many of the roads and built up areas were just farmland.
Unfortunately this map is very difficult to read and hopefully one day we
may be able to get a more clear image to show what the area really looked
like.
